The Golden State Warriors are continuing to monitor the recovery of Moses Moody, who has been sidelined in recent games due to a sprained right wrist. The injury has kept the young guard out of the lineup for three consecutive contests, forcing Golden State to adjust its rotation.

On Tuesday, the team provided an update on Moody’s condition, indicating that he is making steady progress but is not yet ready to return to game action. The development suggests that while his recovery is moving in the right direction, the Warriors are opting for a cautious approach.

The injury originally occurred during a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 2, when Moody suffered the wrist sprain that would eventually sideline him. Since then, the team has kept him under evaluation as part of a structured recovery process.

With several players already dealing with injuries, the Warriors are hoping Moody’s eventual return will help stabilize their lineup during an important stretch of the season.

1. Progress in the Recovery Process

According to the team’s official update, Moody recently underwent a re-evaluation that showed encouraging signs of improvement. While he has not yet been cleared for full participation, the progress has allowed him to move forward in his rehabilitation. One key milestone in the recovery process is Moody’s return to on-court activities. Being able to resume basketball-related work represents an important step toward returning to competitive play. Despite that progress, the Warriors emphasized that Moody will continue to be monitored closely. Another evaluation is scheduled later in the week to determine whether he is ready to return to the lineup. For now, the team appears focused on ensuring that Moody’s wrist heals properly before allowing him to play again, rather than rushing him back too quickly.

2. A Breakout Season Interrupted

Moody’s absence comes during what has been one of the most productive seasons of his career. The fifth-year guard has emerged as a reliable contributor in Golden State’s rotation. Over 59 appearances this season, Moody has started 48 games and posted career-best numbers in several categories. He is averaging 11.9 points per game while also contributing 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists. His shooting efficiency has been another highlight of his campaign. Moody has connected on 44.1 percent of his shots from the field and an impressive 40.2 percent from three-point range, also marking career highs. Those improvements have helped solidify his role as a valuable perimeter option for Golden State, making his injury absence particularly noticeable for a team already navigating roster challenges.

3. Warriors Adjusting to Multiple Injuries

Moody’s injury is only part of a broader challenge the Warriors are facing. The team has been dealing with a number of health-related setbacks that have forced the coaching staff to rely more heavily on depth players. With Moody unavailable for at least one more game, Golden State may turn to Will Richard for additional minutes when the team faces the Chicago Bulls. His role could expand as the Warriors look for ways to maintain their offensive and defensive balance. Other players who may see increased playing time include Pat Spencer, LC Cryer, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford, as the team continues to rotate personnel to cover the absences. If Moody’s recovery continues to progress as expected, the Warriors could see him return as soon as their upcoming home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, though that decision will ultimately depend on the results of his next medical evaluation.
