The measure looked beyond the standard statistics and instead focused on how emotionally demanding it felt to watch each team throughout the season.
That study considered factors such as late-game tension, critical mistakes, injuries, and online fan sentiment. Using those signals, Patriots games emerged as consistently calm and predictable compared with many other teams that saw frequent momentum swings, late drama, and frustrated fan reactions.
1. Few Late-Game Drama Moments
One of the major drivers of the Patriots’ low stress ranking was the absence of chaotic finishes.
